I really like that they finally revealed Cyrus’s backstory. And I love that they made him have a bit of a wild streak, until he gets punished by being turned into a genie. I feel like he’s not so one-dimensional anymore. He has regret and remorse for the mistakes that he made that cost him his family.
I’m also intrigued that Amara is his mom. Though LOL she looks sooo young to be a mom of a bunch of 20 year olds… Perhaps she has longevity? Did she have magic back when she had her sons with her? I would assume so since she knows so much about magic. And did she keep herself alive just to track her sons down? They made her seem evil since she frighten the villagers and gave Jafar poisoned to kill a man. I want to know more about her backstory.
