Their dream was not of a fairytale ending; their dream was just a normal, happy life. It didn’t matter to Neal and Emma if they ended up in Canada or Florida, so long as they were together. They just wanted to retire the Bonnie-and-Clyde act, to get a real place, and to have a home-life together. When you listen to A&E talk on the official podcast for 2×6, they bring up exactly what I just mentioned, that Emma and Neal were just stealing to survive but that their real dream is what most people take for granted: real jobs, a place to hang your hat at night, and family.

^^^This!!! I think Swanfire teaches an important lesson in finding home with the person you love. Doesn’t matter where, as long you’re together. Doesn’t have to be some grand adventure. It can be as simple as having a job and a person you love to come home to. It’s all about what’s most important to you in life. Their road is long and arduous, but the fact that they held on to their love for 11 years, even through the hurt and pain, speaks volumes and why I can’t see them being with anybody else but with each other. They want the same exact thing.
I love that A&E said their real dream is what most people take for granted. And I think that it’s a beautiful lesson the teach people where a lot of people nowadays DO take a lot of the simple things for granted and get caught up in unnecessary overindulgence. To throw that beautiful message away would be such a waste. *cries* 🙁 A&E don’t let me down!
