This for all things! I don’t normally put much stock into cross-stories parallels, but Emma and Neal’s story reminds me SO much of Allie and Noah from The Notebook. Two young teenagers fall madly in love but are forced apart by outside forces, in this case a meddlesome mother and a world war. A decade later and they find their way back to each other, except by then Allie is engaged to someone else. Then the rest of the story is about how they decide to get back together, as it is with Emma and Neal.
