This episode was…eh. I liked it, could rewatch it, but it was nowhere near my top of the totem pole of episodes.

Favorite Moments:

  • The Rumple/Zelena conversation. It offered insight into her father (which I think this can confirm that it’s not Rumple or Leo…) and her relationship with Rumple.
  • The taking of the courage. I found that to be really cool and it really makes me think that Zelena made David the Cowardly Lion. What a smart, manipulative moment.

Least Favorite:

  • The hooded figure bit. It was annoying. End of story.
  • The point of Rapunzel. See, this is where things like this annoy me. They make a point of casting a diverse actress for one of the most iconic figures in fairy tales and BOOM! She’s a filler character. I hate it when they do this, as it’s grown to be extremely common now and one of Season two’s major mistakes: they bring in a character just to add it to the Onceiverse so that it can serve the plot. Afterwards, we never hear from the character again. Yes, I’m glad we got some David stuff this week, but it just felt out of place too soon in the half-season.

Overall, it was an “eh” episode. However, I can’t wait for next week’s!
