Now that we know Charming has this big emotional complex about not being there for Emma and screwing things up with the next one too, I can see where this is heading. No, Daddy Charming had zero opportunity to be a dad to Emma until recently – when he has been giving her advice about things that basically have to do with helping her end up with Hook. So it would be just PERFECT for BOTH Daddy Charming and Emma to have Baby Charming be born and then have Daddy Charming acknowledge that his “Daddy” time with Emma has kind of come and gone EXCEPT for the most important part of all. For Emma she needs her Daddy’s help in realizing the best guy for her is Hook and for Charming he needs to realize that he might not have been there for the things that Snow talked about like her first word and her first step but, even though he has a new baby now, he still has the milestone ahead of him that tends to be the BIGGEST one daddies dream about for their daughters – walking them down the aisle when they get married .
