The fun of Hook & Emma is the slow burn. It doesn’t need to go any faster than it is, in my opinion. In fact, it will be interesting to see how he handles Neal’s death the more we learn what exactly he knows about everything that happened in the last year, and in next week’s episode.
I’m guessing he doesn’t take it well, and perhaps that is why he’s charged with Henry-duty. It’d be pretty tough for me to believe Hook would be willing to stay away from Emma at such a dangerous time…but having the responsibility of taking care of Bae’s son just might be equally important to him now, given CaptainFire’s discussion in the hospital. Which, frankly, I love. I’d really like Captain Cobra to be rooted more in their relationships to Neal than to Emma. And if they want to take the focus off CS to make it ABSOLUTELY CLEAR HOOK IS TAKING CARE OF HENRY BECAUSE HE’S MOURNING NEAL AND NOT TRYING TO REPLACE NEAL OR GET IN EMMA’S STINKING PANTS SO WE DON’T HAVE TO DEBATE THIS AD NAUSEUM WITH PEOPLE WHO REFUSE TO SEE IT, then I’ll take it!!
