Rumple is NOT Zelena’s dad.

Regina NEVER kissed her dad like Zelena kisses Rumple in 318 Zelena treats Rumple as a pet, an attack dog, that she can set on people who get in her way. Henry senior may have been Regina’s personal servant but she still engaged in a father/daughter relationship with him, seeking his advice when troubled. Rumple was the first man in Zelena’s life who showed anything resembling kindness to her, so of course she’s going to have a crush on him and want to play wife to him.

Zelena has to use the dagger to keep Rumple in line, because not only would he kill her if given the chance, he would also leave her. Zelena is like a psycho girlfriend for Rumple, she is forcing him to stay with her. Henry senior did all of Regina’s bidding of his own free will. He might not agree with everything Regina did, but he still stood by her, she didn’t force him.

Regina had to kill her father because he was the thing she loved most. Rumple didn’t let Zelena cast the curse because he was the thing she loved most. Rumple gave Zelena validation on how great she was with the magic, hence why she was so pissed off at Rumple choosing Regina for the curse. Despite having a perfectly reasonable excuse for why Zelena couldn’t cast the curse, Zelena saw it as Rumple was no longer validating her.

The writers aren’t going to go diving into an incest relationship on the show for the reason that, not only is this a family show, it’s in extremely bad taste.

Also Rumple did not know of Zelena’s existence. He didn’t believe her when she said she was Cora’s daughter, he had to do the magical DNA test. As far as Rumple knew Regina was Cora’s only child. And since Regina was so important to the curse, Rumple would’ve kept a close eye on Cora and Regina. Cora’s deal with Rumple was for HIS child and Cora got out of the deal because ANY child she had wouldn’t be Rumple’s.

Cora and Rumple met the night before she got engaged to Henry Sr. She’d got rid of Zelena before that night or maybe shortly after her engagement to Henry so Zelena couldn’t mess things up.

Either way, Zelena was born BEFORE Rumple ever met Cora.
