Okay, I have to do my rewatch today because I was very confused about Zelena’s whole “curse” or whatever on Killy’s lips. But the good thing I did take away was that now Emma is going to be the pursuing Hook!! So yeah, my heart was completely broken for him for like the last, what, 10 minutes of the show. When he admitted that he loves Emma and then swore on her name my fan girl heart just died. Colin seriously killed that scene. And when he came running down the docks after “Ariel” because he regretted so badly what he had done . . . that was perfect.
I still think he got rid of the Jolly Roger. I just don’t think we have seen that part yet. This was the self-loathing episode and Colin nailed it.
But yeah, I also picked up on the season 1 Snowing parallels where the King told Snow she had to tell Charming she didn’t love him or he would kill him. Killian is in the exact same position.
Did anyone else notice that when Killy had already left the apartment and was out in the hall Emma called him “Killian” when they were out of earshot? I thought this was pretty great because it is the first time she has called him “Killian” for herself not for Henry but heartbreaking because I don’t think he felt worthy of her calling him that at the moment even thought at any time he would have given anything to hear her say it. So I think it was painful for him. And my poor pirate baby couldn’t even make eye contact with her.
So this is bad but GOOD because now Emma is the pursuer. I don’t think her walls are going back – I think she is going to confront him about lying and that’s how the “I love you’s” will come out. Plus if a time travel thing happens – is the kiss still cursed if they find a way to go back into time together as well? Because then Killy’s lips won’t have been cursed yet???
I thought this was a cool combination of Snowing and Rumbelle. Belle couldn’t kiss Rumple or his magic would be taken away. But there was a loophole because when he wasn’t Rumple she could kiss him – I wonder if there is a loophole for Killy too?
