Are there any Fairytales with a guy named Jonathan? I can’t think of one… And I don’t think that they are choosing a random man to be Zelenas Father.
For baby Zelena to be as powerful as she is, I’d say she was either the produce of true love OR she was born to two incredibly powerful wielders of magic.
I’d say it’s more likely that Jonathan (or whoever the Papa is) and Cora had true love but the father left Cora which is, in part, what turned her heart bitter and made her open to the idea that “love is weakness”
