@Slurpeez, Ok yeah I’m on board with grey areas and people having both good and bad inside them, but I find labeling Eva and Neal ‘villains’ or ‘dark’ too much. It’s too heavy and too out of proportion with their actions (and life choices outside of the mistakes they made). At the same time, labeling Hook a hero is also out of proportion. Yes he helped get Henry back from NL, but being a hero means more than doing 1 good deed. I guess that’s my real issue with this, people aren’t being perceived according to the reality of things, but according to an idea around that reality.
Yes, I totally agree. This is the biggest problem I have with the “moral of the story” since the consequences for one’s decisions don’t match the reality of the crime committed. In this show, telling a secret, even one which is coerced, is tantamount to the gravest offense worthy of a dark curse while murder, deceit, and rape aren’t held accountable whatsoever. The punishments don’t match the crime, at all. I wouldn’t even consider telling a secret a crime, merely a blunder, but I would call mass murder committed in cold blood a heinous act. Yet, it seems like there is no real justice in the Once universe.
Precisely. Couldn’t add any more to that. As for the bold part, maybe they are saving all the justice and happy endings and whatnot for when the show comes to an end. If that is the case, I wonder, will it feel worth it?
