okay but neal busted out of his father, who had them melded together with ridiculously powerful dark magic out of sheer desperation to save the woman he loves and his son
and being a part of rumple is literally the only thing keeping him alive. he’s dying, but he does what he has to and gets shit done to make sure he gets that memory potion to emma.
because he has faith in her, that she can stop this, that she can save everyone. because he knows right now if he’s ever out of his father’s body, he’ll die— he knows he might have lost his chance with her, with henry, but that can’t matter right now— can’t matter over keeping emma safe, keeping henry safe, keeping emma and henry’s family safe.
it’s like there was one last thing he could do to help them and he’s going to do it and there is literally nothing that i don’t find beautiful about this damn character.
