I agree that it’s preposterous of the writers to claim that Neal’s character arc was complete. NO IT WAS NOT! He was going to be a father to Henry! Henry doesn’t need random father figures; he needs his father! Henry wanted to get a castle with Emma and Neal, just as all children secretly long for their parents to love one another. Emma said she needed Neal. Neal said he needed his boy and Emma because they’re all he had! And then the writers had to go and destroy this hopeful trio who all dreamt of wanting a family together. I will never forgive the writers for this hatchet job of killing Neal (unless they bring back Neal permanently, then maaaaaabey I will).
Instead, we got a storyline about an ancient, druken pinning pirate with cursed luscious lips! Excuse me? Hook’s character arc was you know, actually completed when the Neverland arc ended! Now we have Captain Hook pairing up with the S1 characters to take down the Wicked Witch? Hook does not belong in the story of Oz! And all Neal got was some jello and a hug from Hook!
