McFly has a point – last week’s ep included Zelena’s tease to Rumple about bringing Bae back. GA wouldn’t be insane to take that conversation and expect something to come of it. Is that what attributed to the increase? Not entirely, perhaps not at all. But that expectation wouldn’t be off-base. Generally a tease like that would come with some play out.
Adam said MRJ’s door pic was reshoots, right? It wasn’t. The thing about untruths are, if you get caught in even one, all things you say get called into question. So while I concede it is unlikely, I
am definitely putting a smidge less stock in Adam’s comments than I had been.
It’s the same thing I’ve discussed before – why is everyone so quick to call them liars and trolls in one breath and then say “But Adam said!” in the next. Either he’s trustworthy or he’s not.
Incidentally, and for the record, I actually don’t have a problem if A&E tell the fans things (with regards to the show) that are not clear and truthful. When you have fans who know every.single.thing, I really wouldn’t blame them if they started spewing false spoilers and insinuating different stories than they planned to portray on screen. How else do you keep these fans guessing? So I make my above points not to say, “OMG, Adam is an evil liar troll,” but rather to say, just because he said it does not mean it’s the absolute last word. If – and admittedly a giant if – they are trolling their fanbase on this one, then I expect them to try to semantic around it as much as possible – but heck yeah, there are bound to be some untruths if questions get pointed enough.
With regard to Mittovich, well, doesn’t Adam say to trust stuff only from him & Eddy 😉 They have never said, “this is the permanent death we teased over hiatus,” only that “Neal is dead.”
Neal is dead can be truthful even if they plan a return. 1) The Neal Cassidy persona may be dead, but it doesn’t preclude the return of Baelfire (and by this I don’t mean Dylan, just the shedding of the Neal persona.) 2) Charming was dead. Now he’s not. Dead is NOT necessarily dead, especially with guy left in woods & closed casket, given the history of sleeping curses, preservation spells, etc. 3) Timey Wimey stuff, which we all know is coming, should bring him back if we go back anywhere from 1-270 years.
WILL it? No. But those are all ways that the “Neal is dead” statement could be 100% true without Neal’s death being the death spoiled in the spoiler of doom.
I’m insane – very insane – but I am also not completely out of left field here. These guys LOVE their semantics.
RG, how do we know MRJ’s whereabouts for the entire two weeks the finale was shooting?
Cause this story needs some mending & a better happy ending...
