Past Rumple still had a vendetta against Hook for stealing his wife, and Rumple might wonder what Hook is doing back in the EF after 250 odd years and why Hook isn’t trying to enact revenge for his hand and Milha’s death.

 Past Rumple (to Present Hook): Why are you here, Pirate? The last time we met you vowed to get your revenge. Well, here’s your chance! You took my wife, yet you claimed you were wronged!
Emma (to Hook): What is he talking about?
Rumple: Why Milha of course.
Emma (to Hook): What? You never told me Milha was married to Rumplesitltksin! You were in love with Neal’s mother?
Hook (to Emma): It’s a long story, love.
Rumple (gowing impatient): I hate to interrupt this little spat, but how do you two know each other exactly? And who’s Neal? Milha never had a son by that name!
Emma: We, uh, well we both knew your son. He went by Neal in my land. It’s complicated.
Hook:(tries to back away from Rumple)
Rumple (uses a Jedi grip on Hook): Tell me everything you know about my son!

This could be how Emma discovers the real past about Hook, Rumple, Milha and Baelfire. Boy, does she need to know that important information! Even if that information doesn’t phase Emma, she needs to know if there is going to be any real forgiveness and forward momentum for Emma and Hook. Hook talks about Emma needing to be honest with herself. Well Hook needs to be honest too! He’s been keeping important things from Emma. Time for Emma to see all the skeletons in his closet if she’s going to make a real, informed decision about a future with Hook.
