now that I DID watch 316, I do have a say… the funeral was not crappy. it proved that we are NOT DONE the pain was so intense in that funeral. Emma was so devastated, and that shovel full of dirt she threw was so emotional that NO WAY are the writers just going to be OK with such an end to Emma. not to even mention the torture that went on in that cage. no. it was obvious in that episode that neither Emma nor Rumple (nor Henry) will be happily ever after without Baelfire.
if that’s your interpretation fine. but it was short, no words spoken, and focused more on Hook than anyone .And then, once Henry got his memories back, he said goodbye in a five second visit to his father’s grave. Emma was angry for one episode and then the next week “life goes on. Everything is fine. The past is the past” And the episode after that, she’s not wearing the Swan necklace, she’s giggling and smiling and flirting with Hook.

He also said #nospoilers and wait and see when asked if Neal was going to die. And then he made fun of Neal’s death and our pain with that tweet the next day.
So if he is in the finale then I stand by the idea that it will be “this was always meant to happen” bullcrap.
