If you get chat at the right time, it can be fun. I usually hop on after I get out of work (I’m on the US East Coast) and there’s usually a good variety of people there. And there are still some people I have to steer clear of but if I’m not too fed up I can usually let it go in one ear and out the other…everyone’s right! We should make our (positive) presence known! In chat and the threads. There’s power in numbers, people!
The thing that upsets me here is the Hook/Neal comparison. It seems ok to bash Hook and I’ve seen plenty of it. But – and maybe I have ‘shipper goggles’ on but I don’t think so – I think we keep the anti-Neal stuff to a minimum, even in this thread. Most of our opinions actually range from blah-Neal to I-like-Neal here. And those of us that dislike Neal seem to leave those opinions on other forums and threads. So when you see people openly bashing your character, it just comes across as mean, which is discouraging.
Luckily the Rumbellers seem to be coming around – agreed, PoM & Angiebelle especially! 🙂 So I’m thinking if some of the Rumbellers can ‘forgive’ Hook, then I’m hoping SFers can come around too, eventually. Especially since Rumple/Hook were flat out enemies, and Neal/Hook’s relationship was a lot more complex and a lot less antagonistic (when they weren’t acting like 12 year olds with their 1st crush…)
