I about freaked the flip out when I realized that entire nursery was decorated in dreamcatchers. The best shots we get of it, actually, are in the Pilot. When The Curse comes, it busts through the big, dreamcatchery window up top. Broken dreams, hey, as Snowing puts their tiny baby through a wardrobe portal? Anyways, it’s another one of those Things that says to me, “Hey, SF was the game plan all along…”
Anyways, yeah, I think Charming’s dream in 314 is a huge key. The mobile spins, the top is a dreamcatcher. 314, come to think of it, is when things really went off the rails. If – and I know it’s a huge if – this season was *supposed* to be off the rails, maybe that nightmare was intended to be a key trigger to segue us into the rest of the season. (Of course, if that’s what they were going for, I think they failed horribly – and I hope they don’t try anything so insane again!) Not sure about the tattoo; I’ve never really spent that much time analyzing it but I would be super interested to hear any thoughts anyone might have! I know they have shot down the idea of it being a Buttercup as a Princess Bride thing, and supposedly it is just from Charming’s crest.
Lecygne, they can’t say that, because #nospoilers and the spoiler just said before the end of S3. So they won’t confirm it until the end of S3, I get that – but there is a difference between not saying, “Yep, that’s what that spoiler was,” and implying that the spoiler is still hanging out there… if that makes a difference?
BTW, on my list of “things that must happen someday,” Emma *needs* that mobile. It just kinda hangs out in Gold’s shop, like no one bothers with its significance. Sometime before this series wraps, I really need for it to make it into her hands – to be hung wherever she decides is home.
Cause this story needs some mending & a better happy ending...
