I think Belle should forgive Rumple. If Regina can be forgiven by Snow after all her misdeeds and be given chance after chance to change then Rumple should too.
I didn’t say that she shouldn’t forgive him. But everyone seems to think it’s as easy as an apology, a shouting match, a few nights on the couch. It’s like downplaying *what* he did for the sake of a ‘ship. It cannot be as a cut and dry as that. He killed someone. He murdered Zelena. And worse, he lied and deceived Belle. I know he meant every word he said to her. He loves Belle with his whole heart. But he still thinks that he can get away with literal actual murder and not have to face any consequences.
As far as Snow/Regina goes, Regina never promised Snow she wouldn’t kill anyone. They’ve always been enemies toward each other, with the brief stint when Snow was younger. When Daniel died, Regina blammed Snow and her reaction was, “I should have let her die on that horse.”
Snow and Regina are NOT Rumple and Belle. There was never a feud between them. Rumple made promises and grand speeches and loving declarations. He never tried to kill Belle, he never poisoned her, he never tried to kill her daughter. And Belle didn’t play a part in making Rumple loose what he loved most. The situations are vastly different.
