Maybe I was watching a different show, but I remember the LAST time he thought his Baelfire was dead he was OK with Belle and all of SB and himself dying except for Henry. And then when he found Henry was in danger, he had something small to live for- save Henry at least.

Yes, he went on a suicide mission to Neverland. But S3B is not S3A. Neal died in Emma’s arms and with Rumple there and instead of being suicidal this time, he decided to exact revenge (the same way he did with Tamara) on Zelena. But as soon as he realized Neal was alive in NL, he didn’t want to die at all. He wanted to take down Pan and then go home and live his life. Rumple got his revenge on Zelena and is now trying to live a new life, heartbreak and all.

And HOW they came to be together the HOW is that NEAL DIED. that’s how. Because of HOW they came to betogether is a VERY BIG DEAL.

What? I don’t understand this at all. They were already unified in finding out who cursed them and to figure out what they wanted. Neal’s death gave them a name. It didn’t unite them to take down Zelena. They had already had the motivation.

And the fact tbat Gd would rather be dead than lose his precious child doesn’t make him suicidal. He was ALREADY dead
People keep forgetting that this is what killed his son.

Wanting to be dead when you are alive the definition of being suicidal. Your point makes no sense.

And people keep forgetting WHY he became a slave. He gavehis daggerto save Bae.

Yes because PLOT. Because he should have just thrown the dagger to Belle who was standing right there but PLOT dictated otherwise. He wasn’t choosing to become a slave, he was choosing not to let go of his son.

Doesn’t sound like a man HAPPY to be alive. If he would be tbe same character

Did I say he’s happy? No. Of course he’s in pain. He lost a child. But that’s not what you’re arguing. You’re trying to make a case that Rumbelle is built on Neal and it isn’t.
