Whole heaping pile of WORD to that! I saw a text post on tumblr too that explained what is and isn’t “hate” in fandom. Seriously, being logically critical of a piece of media is a thing that’s allowed. And if we wanna express that critique to the people who wrote it (especially at a point in time when the future of the story is still just in the planning phase, so if ever our views had a chance of being not just heard but also seriously considered and addressed, now is the time it could happen), then that’s allowed too.
