Regarding Henry, he has to feel a bit saddened that his Moms now have a wedge between them when he worked so hard to get them together! His Mom(s) loving someone isn’t the problem. Hating someone has always been the problem to Henry. It’s very pre-teenish to just wish all the parental/family problems away to a time of less angst.
Henry has a crazzzzzy family all around. He’s got to be worn out emotionally. It is one thing to play fantasy war games on a hand held gamer, another to actually live one.
And then there are those lunatic teen-hormones coursing through his body.
Going to Grandpa (the one with the most powerful magic!) seems the right choice to make it all go away.
