::delurking:: Hi Guys! I’ve been M.I.A. for a while, I know so I feel like I missed a whole lot even though I’ve been reading posts all summer. So, here is “What I did over my Summer Vacation”.

I have had quite a few friends that have either caught up on, or marathoned Once over the last couple of months (yes, mostly because of Frozen). These are general audience, not at all involved in the fandom, and they are all convinced Neal will be back. More so, they all say “Oh yeah, Hook and Emma will get together, obviously, but then Neal will come back somehow and they’re true love. Hello, flashing lights during birth and the pendant?!” Having them watch the series and ask questions and be so into the show, kind of made me a little excited again, and revisit some things.

Now, I do know better than to have any sort of hope, considering I keep up with this forum, and any number of social medias. However, another coworker (who is just as obsessed as I, and as equally as disappointed in S3) and I, started talking about what would actually make “bold storytelling” and start to bring the whole story together. Recently, Ranisha said this:

If Neal ever comes back make him a villain! Not just any villain I mean the ruthless cold hearted evil sociopathic villain, make him Regina, Rumple, Hook all rolled up in one. Let him burn Storybrooke to the ground. Destroy their happy endings if its the last thing he does. Baelfire the Phoenix, Baelfire the Dragon, Baelfire the Hellhound. That way I am CERTAIN he will get a happy ending with his son and father, friends, and family.

And this is, funnily enough, our entire theory for S4 into S5. I have hesitated to share anything, a) because you guys would think we’re crazy; b) I sorta know it’s really not going to happen and c) the theorizing has been so much fun and I don’t want to ruin it with what is actually going to happen through the course of the series. So essentially this is what we think is going to happen. I will spoil it out because although it was never based on spoilers, spoilers have come out that have sort of supported it.

So, we both figured Hook would get his hand back this season. I was surprised to find we all had the same theory, that he blackmails Rumple into giving it back to him. He finds out about the dagger, threatens to tell Belle, but Belle finds out anyways, so Hook has no leverage anymore. Rumple tells Emma about Hook’s past, Milah and Bae, and his part in it, because what does Rumple have to lose anymore? Emma feels betrayed and that she can’t trust him anymore, though for the sake of television, they will try to work things out.

Elsa has come to Storybrooke, which of course is the ultimate distraction. Of course, there are others: Snowing and new baby Snowflake, Outlaw Queen and their drama, Rumbelle and their drama, Hook/Emma, etc., you get it. So all of the adults are so focused on what’s going on in their lives, they forget about Henry, and don’t really acknowledge any of what he’s going through, after losing his father and getting his memories back. Henry starts spending time with his grandfather, trying to find a way to connect to his father. And while Rumple isn’t looking, Henry starts to realize that maybe he has a little magic too. Or a lot.

When Henry finds out he has magic, what do you think he would do? He is a Stiltskin after all, and we all know the Stiltskin men have a few things in common, one of them being making rash decisions without thinking about the consequences. So Henry decides that the one thing he wants to do, has to do, is bring his father back. Season Finale: He casts a spell to bring his father back, except Henry forgets: “all magic comes with a price”. And the price is that he brings back Baelfire, but a Baelfire who is different and who has no recollection of being Neal, without his memories of Emma and Henry. A Baelfire that only remembers being betrayed by his father, without the optimism we all love him for. And we think Bae will replace his father as the new “Dark One”. So for the first time, they will all be fighting a new enemy, one they all know and love. A dark one with no ties to any of them, but instead of being a villain they have to defeat, it’s one they have to save.

So yeah, that was long winded. And not likely by any means. But I wanted to share with you guys. And sort of put it down somewhere so if it does come true I can say I called it, just in case. I will say though, that if we’re onto something here, it would ultimately, for me, equal a bold storyline. That all of S3B wasn’t for nothing, it was just setting up the rest of the series. I know that’s too much to ask for, but I couldn’t hold it in any longer. I know none of you will agree, and that I shouldn’t have hope but I figured what the heck. I’ll be back more often soon! You guys have certainly made me laugh over the summer!
