Having been GA for a lot longer than any other kind of fan, I’d be inclined to agree with them, but unfortunately I’ve seen all the interviews and the drama that went down over season 3 and it’s just tainted that faith in a Happily Ever After beyond repair. Maybe if Emma had shown some hope herself in bringing Neal back, then maybe I could have bought into that idea, but she told Rumple to let him stay dead. That alone shows they don’t want him, they don’t want me, and having hope from that point out is likely just an exercise in getting my heart broken all over again. Leaving behind the nice warm innocent world of the GA was potentially the worst thing I’ve ever done fandom wise (though it brought me to my Ranchers, so the good outweighs the bad overall). Now I’m just on the Conspiracy Train, and it’s taken me way too far from the GA path to enjoy the show that way ever again.
