Something’s missing…
Yeah, and his name was Nealfire.
Yep. I don’t think A&E realize that we’re not just missing a hole in the story of SwanFire, which could have been great, but by killing him off we lost potential plots involving Rumple and Henry obviously, but non-romantically, him interacting with Regina. Their learning to parent their child together would have been interesting and I’m not talking about in a romantic sense at all. I think in season one her biggest nightmare besides Emma being there was Henry’s father showing up and taking him away. Emma gave him up, but there was this wildcard of the unknown father. That’s the reason Neal’s death makes so many people angry. Not the loss of a ship. But the loss of the heart of the show. That thing that tied everything together, literally, is now gone. I wonder how long the GA who think Neal is coming back will hold on before they realize that he’s gone and not coming back.
In a sense…they killed off what the show really began from….Rumple trying to find his long lost son Bae.
I think it would have been a hilarious dynamic to see Regina open up, relax, and feel cool about Henry spending time with Neal, and Emma just have that face like “Seriously…now how come you’re not threatening him like you did me when I first popped up in Henry’s life?”
Because Regina and Neal were almost siblings….I would have loved to see a similar relationship between them. Like the siblings they almost were.
And Emma….SwanFire….I think I don’t need to say anything else about this. But if Emma’s heart gets frozen and….well, I think you all know where I’m going with that. I don’t know how I’m going to feel about that….I really don’t.
