I guess I’m an anomaly of an SF shipper…I love the character of Hook
I used to, and still would if they weren’t showing me one thing while expecting me to see it as another. If they were actually intending for him to come across as a dysfuncionally obsessed and selfish man then I’d say they’ve done a great job. But the fact that the writers seem to think he’s been acting like a romantic hero makes me question their moral code and resent the character. Sucks because I could still enjoy him if they were handling him in a more authentic way. He could have been really interesting and complex and compelling (I will forever lament the WASTED opportunity that was CaptainFire, it was set up so beautifully in the S2 finale, then nothin’), instead of a whitewashed lapdog. At least it seems he’s gonna have the hook back by ep 7, it’s not much, but at least it’s a visual reminder of who he really is.
