“She’s suddenly trying to try love with Hook. She’s finally trying to figure out how to be a daughter to David and Mary Margaret. She’s trying to be the best kind of mother she can be to Henry. She’s trying to figure out how to maintain a friendship with Regina,” actress Jennifer Morrison explains to Zap2it. “There’s all these things going on that are very new circumstances for her that are forcing her out of her comfort zone in every way.”

“[Emma] hasn’t had the space to be vulnerable without being incredibly hurt or taken advantage of or put in a bad situation,” Morrison explains, “For the first time, maybe ever, or not since she was a very young child is in a very vulnerable state. That’s very uncomfortable for her, but exciting because that means there’s so much potential for growth.”For right now, Hook is the only man on Emma’s mind though. They didn’t manage to make a Netflix night work in the premiere but hints have been made that a “complicated” date is in their future.
