“It’s just difficult because he knows [Regina] is a dark person. He knows about her past but he also says ‘I have a dark past too,’” actor Sean Maguire tells Zap2it at the “Once Upon a Time” season premiere party.
X Who knows if he was basing that comment on something more he’s learned about Robin since they shot the premiere, or if he just randomly chose it as a general term. I would hope though that if they’re trying to have him identify with Regina’s past, that he’s got something legit dark in his own past.

He might be exaggerating but it also seems to line up with his “I was once quite different” emphasis on the degree of his difference.
