I haven’t watched this episode (still debating it), but man, that scene. The polaroid. The Swan nuzzle. *Feels*
Tell me what was the point? I’m glad Emma is showing some emotion, but what an odd choice to have it come up during a CS scene. That usually puts a damper on things. It’s just reusing the scene from 3×1 when Hook made a toast in Neal’s memory and let Emma believe he and Neal had a great relationship. Emma still has feelings of grief for Neal. She managed to hide them well since Neal’s wake. I don’t even know how to take this. Should I feel touched? Nastalgic? Am I supposed to see how much Neal meant to Emma compared to Hook now? What is the point of constantly bringing up a dead guy unless it’s meant to call into question Emma’s feelings for Hook now? She’s clearly not over Neal. Yeah, she lost him just a week ago, but she’s going on dates with Hook. Can we say rebound? She and Neal haven’t been a couple in over 12 years, but she continues to mourn him. I guess that is true love for you, but then again, she’s still tearing up. In her heart she misses him, but on the outisde it seems like she is trying to convey how “over it” she is. Yet, she’s still keeping old momentos of Neal in her box of cherished keep sakes. *Confused*
