Do you think the writers plan the character histories from season 1 then play with those ideas as the seasons progress? For example, season 1/2 “Rumple was abandoned as a kid by his father” season 3 “Hey, why not make the dad Peter Pan?” For example, Season 1 “Emma was in and out of the system all her childhood” season 4 “Hey what if, one of Emma’s care workers was the Snow Queen?”
Yeah and lets not forget there was no magic in our world and now the Snow Queen is erasing Emma memories in our world. Also, aparently, you dont need a bean, or curse to come to this land, and that is the thing, if Rumple knew since EF that the Snow Queen would be linked to Emma, how on earth he didnt came to our world on the same way that the Snow queen, so only with that they are already recont many things, including Rumple past, bc that is the thing, they are making the new viewers think that Rumple made the curse to come to this world to have a better life, like he never had any other motive( like finding his son), since now is all about the power.
