Belle has lost memories too? Did the writer of the book skip a chapter?
That makes Elsa, Emma and Belle all victims of amnesia. How much do you want to bet Belle’s memory loss was due to the Snow Queen? I’m starting to think that theory that Belle’s mom was the third sister of the Queen of Arendelle and the Snow Queen might prove to be true. Why else would Belle be in Arendelle?
It’s kind of badly worded but it sounds like Belle’s helping Anna with lost memories; not the other way around.
I disagree. I think that the way it’s worded is clear.

The possessive pronoun “her” refers back to Belle, not Anna. Also, what happened to Belle’s mother has been a longstanding mystery, whereas we already know that both Anna’s mom and dad were lost at sea. So if it were Belle helping Anna to regain her memories, rather than the other way around, then the synopsis would likely read “discover the fate of her mother and father.” Plus, it’s clear from the pictures for 3×6 that Belle’s mom features in this episode.
So my conclusion is that Belle in the present day has lost her memories of whatever happened to her mom. (And let’s face it, Belle’s mom probably died in this episode just as almost every fairytale character’s mom in the history of fairytales has died).
