I know how you feel. It’s been very difficult for me to like or feel sympathy Rumple this season. Last night, I think was the boiling point for me. I didn’t want to be right that he would use the hat on Emma but he did and he lied about the method that would be used as well. He also flat out admitted that he knows who he is, a selfish man and he doesn’t care.
Rumple is continually digging himself deeper in his lies and manipulations, that when the truth finally does come out (it has to), I can’t feel sorry for him when he loses everything. By everything, I mean Belle.
And I’m teetering on whether to feel bad for Belle as well. I mean, last night, Rumple left his bed in the middle of the night and slipped off to trap the savior in the hat. What did he tell Belle he was doing, or was he really that stealthy when sneaking out of their house? Is Belle really that blind to not see what kind of man she’s married to?
It’s even harder to discern exactly what Rumple wants. It’s not always clear on screen.
