Snowing was my only OTP in S1 (before I even knew what that meant). Rumbelle was fine by me, but wasn’t exactly my cup of tea either (get it, cup?) *Crickets* However, that banishment scene last night was full of pathos. I had feelings I didn’t expect. Bobby and Emilie nailed that scene. Bobby’s ability to weep openly never ceases to stir emotions, but I actually was more stirred by Emilie’s strong delivery of a determined, resolved Belle. Finally, she stood up for herself! She didn’t fall victim to Rumple’s emotional weakness. It was tough love, because how else could Belle hope to get through to Rumple, who is an addict? She couldn’t continue to be an enabler of his addiction to magic, which she was quickly becoming the longer she stayed in that unhealthy dynamic. Too bad Rumple *still* hasn’t learned anything. I fear his character may end his days a villain.
