I hope changing the story is something the author can’t do. My head canon is that he only records stuff and the only ones who can change it are the characters. That’s what I hope the ultimate outcome is.
I know most of you all don’t like Hook but he took control of his destiny and decided to change for himself. He didn’t need no author to give him a happy ending. It’s all about the characters’s choices. Regina chose evil, therefore path to a happy ending was never going to be an easy one. She said it herself if she hadn’t chosen evil, maybe her life wouldn’t have turned out the way it has.
That’s why I feel like this whole finding the author thing is a ret-con because I think we’ve seen in past seasons with almost every villain, they’ve all had to make choices and those choices define who they will become.
