To me, the story of Rumpel and Belle right now feels like Orpheus and Eurydice in reverse.
I’ve always thought they felt like that, actually. It really got a big O and E helping in S3B after Rumple’s sacrifice.
If they are playing with O and E myth, then it’s worth pointing out that in the end Orpheus loses Eurydice
