Screwball has an interesting essay on the Hook/Belle friendship

Not a bad essay. I don’t quite understand why people have so much issue with Belle forgiving Hook. Do they forget there was that whole six weeks of them working together to free the fairies? Just because it wasn’t shown to the audience doesn’t mean they haven’t had time to hash out their friendship. That’s a long time to work together, to get to know each other, to talk about Rumple. They wouldn’t have been working in silence for all that time. Can’t we just assume they’ve made up and developed quite a good friendship in the time we haven’t seen? Which I think is totally believable and not out of character for either of them. Hook and Belle are still really regarded as the outsiders in the little hero troupe. Belle is only called upon when they want something. Hook is really only tolerated because he’s seeing Emma. (Notice so far, Hook only sits with the Charmings when Emma is around) I think it’s nice that Hook and Belle have bonded and found a friend in each other. Anyway, I need to stop talking about Hook and Belle in a CaptainSwan thread 🙂
