So what I got from this episode is that Emma first tried using Regina’s tears over her lost love, Daniel, but it didn’t work because Regina has healed and moved past the stable boy thanks to Robin. Emma then tricked Henry into crying over Violet’s rejection of him, even though Emma was controlling Violet dark magic. Yet, juxtaposed with those two events in Camelot is what we saw in present-day Storybrooke: Emma crying over a dreamcatcher after Rumple warned Emma that dark ones always lose the ones they love most. Yep, tell me again how Emma has moved past her lost love again.
