Have you noticed that on this show, ever new power is the most powerful power of all time? Now I have no doubt that Merlin is mighty, but let’s be real here… Blue was set up to be the oldest and most powerful wielder of light magic, but she is never even mentioned anymore. Emma took the spot of all powerful light magic, and now Merlin has followed suit. Also in season 1, The Dark One was set up to be the most powerful dark magic. Up until this season we haven’t really seen the Dark One as a real villain of the town. Rumple was there making deals and causing mischief but there was always another villian worse and scarier than the Dark One (Regina, Cora, Pan, Zelina). I just don’t know what to think anymore.
THIS!
Season 1:
Most Powerful Light Magic: Blue Fairy
Most Powerful Dark Magic: The Dark One Rumplestilskin
Season 2:
Most Powerful Light Magic: Emma Swan
Most Powerful Dark Magic: The Dark One Rumplestilskin (Though it’s been said Cora has beaten him once)
Season 3:
Most Powerful Light Magic: Regina Mills (As Glinda said, the most powerful purveyor of light magic)
Most Powerful Dark Magic: Zelena Mills (Has managed to best Rumplestilskin, who never once tried to challenge her again, and was, as Glinda put it…the ultimate dark magic practitioner.)
Season 4:
Most Powerful Light Magic: Emma Swan (After training from Regina, and learning to accept her magic, she’s once again the ultimate light magic user.)
Most Powerful Dark Magic: (I don’t really know anymore….either Zelena or Rumple, but based off Season 3, I’m going with Zelena.)
Season 5:
Most Powerful Light Magic: The Sorcerer Merlin
Most Powerful Dark Magic: The Dark Swan Emma (Though she maybe more powerful than Merlin considering the fact she’s an ultimate practitioner of both Light & Dark Magic.)
Watch in Season 5B and 6, we have another new ultimate practitioner of some form of magic!
