So Merlin is immortal? Then that means he’s alive in present day right?
Depends on what they define as immortality. The Dark One is said to be immortal…but they can still be killed. Also, if Merlin was given his immortality, that could mean it can be taken away as well.
Some stories have a “you’ll live just as long as nothing kills you” stance on immortality, for others literally nothing can cause you to die no matter what. Since A&E have said there have been other sorcerers and in this episode we will see merlin get his powers and immortality, I am guessing there is a way to kill the sorcerer and someone higher in the magical rank just chooses another.
