Well I doubt the title is referring to a literal pair of ruby slippers because the concept of the ruby slippers are trademarked specifically for the original MGM movie, which Warner Bros currently owns the rights to.
Right, and I do remember OUAT going with the silver slippers. Then what could this title mean? It obviously can’t be the literal meaning and I’m not buying that A&E would engage in a ship tease and name their title after one. If it isn’t literally the ruby slippers, I’m confused as to what it means, metaphorically, or literally. Even if it did mean the couple was Red and Dorothy, “Ruby Slippers” still doesn’t make sense unless they are literally shipping the name.
