Still not sure what myth books A and E are reading. I’m not overly fond of the idea of calling it the Underworld and using certain classic Underworld imagery (five rivers) but it not really being the Underworld at all. It’s more a Limbo. The writers want to have their cake and eat it too–they want to play with Hades as a villain and thus they need the Underworld but they don’t want to go so far as to say Hell or make it anything other than a Limbo/Purgatory. Eh. It bugs.
As we go on, I’d like to see more punishments that fit the crime/are personal, like with Cora. That’s a pretty meaty idea. The Blind Witch is cooked and eaten, for instance, only to come back each day. That could be kind of fun–do unto the villains what they did to others.
