But on a slightly lighter note: What if aborting the child would give Hades exactly what he wants? The child’s soul would become his, therefore entirely defeating the purpose of ending its life. Narratively speaking, this is the only way i could see them considering this possibility.

Anyways, I seriously doubt Disney would allow Once to show one of the Disney Princesses having an abortion. Belle is not getting rid of the child because she clearly wants it. The smile on her face when Rumple told her she was pregnant says it all.
I do wonder if they will accelerate Belle’s pregnancy though, hand wave it as the effect of the underworld or something. Just had a thought!!!! What if the birth of RumBelle’s baby helps make the underworld better by allowing things to grow or whatever it was Hades was saying couldn’t happen. Kind of like new life and all. New life defeats death.
