After all, the only comebacks they have have is returning in flashbacks or spirits.
And this just isn’t true. As I said before, they have killed off characters or led us to believe they killed off characters, only to tell us they weren’t actually dead or that they brought them back to life somehow with magic. Blue Fairy was killed by the shadow in the same way that Greg Mendell was killed. And yet, when the shadow is defeated, that somehow revives Blue out of her coffin. Pinocchio was turned to wood. And then was magically brought back to life. Zelena was killed by Rumple with his own dagger. She turned to dust. And yet somehow was able to open the portal, become alive in the past, take Marian’s form, and then come back as Zelena. Charming was dead in the water, but they created a loophole no one had heard of before by having Snow share a heart which was utterly ridiculous. They also led us to believe Archie was killed by Cora (as shown through Pongo’s eyes) when in fact he was just being held captive on Hook’s ship. And…….I haven’t even addressed the fact that they will inevitably be saving Hook from death by traveling to the UW.
So all of the above situations could apply to whoever dies here. Maybe he isn’t actually dead like with Archie. Maybe he can be saved with some sort of magic macguffin like Charming. Maybe whatever killed him can be reversed like with Pinocchio. Maybe if whoever killed them was killed themselves, that would bring them back to life like Blue Fairy. Or maybe they just won’t explain it and he’ll magically be alive even after taking a dagger to the face like Zelena. Or perhaps they can save him the same way they will inevitably save Hook. There are so many scenarios that could happen and have happened throughout the show to prove that dead is not always dead. To say that the only comebacks they have are from flashbacks or ghosts is just not accurate.
You’re wrong man. Remember when we thought Neal died near the end of season 2? But he survived as revealed in the final. He survived but in the 15th epi of s3, he dies and never rises again. But he reappeared in flashbacks of what remains of season 3 and returned as a spirit of ep 12 season 5. And as you see after surving death, there is no way they are going to repeat resurrections (no third chances), just like they did for Neal. What’s your excuse? I made my points quite clear.
