I think it would have been better if Belle had been put under the sleeping curse against her will and then Rumple is forced to choose between Belle and his power rather than Belle giving him a kick in the teeth by doing it anyway when Rumple told her it was a bad idea and then insinuating that Rumple’s TLK wouldn’t be good enough since she asked for her father to kiss her awake. It’s like “Belle, your husband is stood right in front of you!”
I have a theory that the reason why Rumple and Belle are forced to be at odds with each other all the is because if the writers allowed the characters to dictate where the story was headed RumBelle’s problems would’ve been resolved at the end of season 3.
