I wonder if Rumple’s “my kingdom” line wasn’t meant so literally. Perhaps he meant it more in a “this is my domain” way?
Like that Rumple believe he is the big cheese and there can’t be a bigger cheese than himself?

A Podunk with NO ONE IN IT. Seriously, that town is a ghost town except for the CharMillStiltskins and their “friends”
“Friends” is too strong a word, I’d say “walking, talking plot conveniences”.
One thing I miss about the early seasons of Once is the small town feel. In season 1 you never saw every nook and cranny of Storybrooke but it felt alive with people.
