–The mythology is getting a bit more interesting. I like that they brought in the real spiritual movement that took place in the late 1800s-early 1900s around New York and the Great Lakes.
–But the characters are SO BORING. Like, I have no sympathy for any of them and they just drag everything around them down.
–Good lord, but this show does not need more romance. How many pairings does one show need??
–Amy screamed at a tetherball and then got struck by lightening later. I found that funny.
I too want to learn more about the Tall Man and his cult. They’re the most intriguing thing this show has to offer thus far. BTW, the Tall Man is played by horror icon Tony Todd, who is best known for the Candy Man and Final Destination films. Looks like Deb (Elizabeth Mitchell’s character) definitely has a connection to them, as she has one of their masks. Speaking of Deb, am I the only one who finds the flirting between her and Joel very odd? I could understand Joel having a one-sided crush on her, but that doesn’t seem to be what’s going on here. Drew is still the counselor that I want to learn more about, though I’m nervous how his backstory will be depicted, given the subject matter. As for Amy, part of me can’t help but think “could she really be dead?” 3 episodes in seems a tad too early to kill off a regular, so I largely doubt it. Even Graham on OUAT had at least 7 episodes before he got axed.
