So…..being the opposing force to the curse makes Emma a savior? Or being the opposing force AND a child of True Love? Does there need to be a curse at all for a savior? Did Aladdin have to break a curse? Was it a dark curse or any curse in particular? Is he also a child of true love?
A lot of these questions we can’t answer yet. But like I said, I think Emma would still be magical and probably special in some way but she can’t be the Savior Rumple set out to create if there is no Dark Curse to save people from, no happy endings to restore. I mean, what is she the Savior of? Casting the dark curse is the final catalyst that locks Emma’s Saviorhood into place. Rumple needed a Savior to break the Dark Curse so he created one but if the Curse is never cast, the Savior portion of Emma never gets created. (god, this is complicated) As for Aladdin, we don’t know because this is the first season we’re exploring the very idea that there is more than one Savior. Maybe there are varying degrees of Saviorhood with Emma’s Saviorness the highest order?
Not saying they will say this, but they can always say now that Aladdin was born to be a savior like others before him and that Emma was made savior for rumple, not bc he cared about happy endings,but bc he wanted her to break SB curse, to restore their memories and allow him to get out of SB.
Like i said in previous post, all goes back to Rumple and Bae story, if he had found Bae earlier, no dark curse was needed, Snowing wouldnt have meet( think they explored that on the S3 finale)and emma wouldnt be born, so no curse and no emma savior , however a savior still existed in aladdin bc he was alive in wherever he is, again, this subject goes and goes and circle, Rumple looked for the dark curse to find Bae, he gave emma savior status, what they can do is simply show what if Rumple chosed someone else, like, Cinderella kid instead, Alexandra would have been the savior and would have come to land without magic? how would have been her life if Alexandra and not Emma was the chosen one?
One thing that has to be said is that Emma no savior, means no Hnery in all options, bc Emma was only sent to land without magic bc she was the savior like Rumple called her, if she wasnt the savior, no magic wardrobe would be made, at least for her, so no way Emma could have meet Neal and have henry.
