I don’t know why in Emma’s fantasy world – outside of want to wish herself been widowed by Neal (which makes no sense, wouldn’t you rather he be alive, even if just for the sake of your son?) – why she would wish for that world to follow archaic beliefs around child-legitimacy that she certainly doesn’t subscribe to herself?
Excellent point. Then again this is an Emma who was a wimpy wet noodle.
It comes down to this: our questions are pointless, and nothing makes sense.
(I give the writers a lot of well deserved grief but at least they’ve been good enough to give me actual quotes from the show to explain this nonsense)
