For those of us really interested in ratings across the whole ABC board: a reminder that Quantico–a show @matthewpaul and I both have pegged as cancelled–begins tonight on its new night. The ratings should prove interesting; it’s an attempt to save it, but it’s going into a spot that isn’t going to really help it any if past precedent means anything. The Winter Finale got a .7 in the demo.
Yeah, Quantico is a serialized drama that has gradually declined in viewership. I don’t expect a miraculously improvement just because it has the Bachelor as its lead-in. ABC does seem to really love the show and it’s clear that this is a desperation move to try to save it. Maybe this move would have worked had they done so this past Fall, but I’d say it’s too little too late.
