At the end of the day, Regina is a major character who has been with the show since the pilot and is by far one of the most popular. Unless Lana outright refused, then they’re going to do whatever it takes to have her sing. The fact that the Evil Queen’s lair is listed among the scenes to include singing, I think it’s a safe bet that she will sing.
Which is gonna be a horrendous autotuned mess. Lana’s even said she can’t sing so it makes no sense why she would be singing in a musical episode. Unless it’s talking singing. Hopefully it’s just one song. I hope Emma gets some solos since she’s the titular character of the show.
As I said…no one on the show is superstar level of singing! We shouldn’t even have the expectation to hear the cast belt out an Adele or John Legend like voice, but I’m positive the recording crew will have them ready to give their best performance. And it definetly does make sense to have Lana, whose not only a leading character but one of the many fan favorites, to have a song.
Now that its official, what type of songs would you want to see Regina/EQ sing? 🎤🎶 https://t.co/Gx110j1xQU

Well, how about at least watching the episode before jumping to such strong conclusions? As @MP said, lots of people will want to hear her sing and as @thewatcher said, they will do everything in their power to make the cast sound acceptable.
