They tend to underplay Henry in general so I can’t see them suddenly giving him something extra meaty.
They definetly missed that opportunity by not having Henry be truly tempted by the Evil Queen to join the dark side. He could’ve played double agent at least, secretly being the peace maker between Regina & EQ, and eventually being the one to ultimately convince them to be put back together because he loves them both. (Sigh) But this is OUAT, and on OUAT, one cannot have nice things!

I think this has more to do with the season six finale than the musical episode. Perhaps Henry uses his pen to write Emma a different ending, one in which she never became the savior, in an effort to keep her from dying. But it backfires, in a major way with unintended consequences since “magic always comes with a price”. We already know that there is a casting call for a young man who sounds a lot like adult Henry. Likely, he’d be the star of S7 (assuming OUAT gets renewed), which would feature Henry and his daughter trying to right whatever wrong happened at the end of season six.
Okay, I love this idea and if there really is a reboot, I’d love for this to come true! Only thing I’d be wondering is, who’s Henry’s baby mama?
